What Happens in a Nadi Reading

A Nadi reading at Siva Nadi Astro follows five distinct phases — each essential to the authenticity, accuracy, and completeness of the experience:

Phase 1 — Thumb Impression Submission Every Nadi reading begins with your thumb impression — the right thumb for men and the left thumb for women. This unique pattern is the key that unlocks the search for your specific palm leaf. The ridges and whorls of your thumb impression are classified into one of 108 traditional categories, determining which bundle of manuscripts is searched. For in-person readings, your impression is taken at the centre on the day of your appointment. For online readings, you submit a clear photograph via WhatsApp before your session.

Phase 2 — Bundle Identification and Search Based on your thumb impression classification, Guruji identifies the relevant bundle of palm leaf manuscripts from the sacred collection maintained by his family lineage. Within the bundle, individual leaves are carefully handled and read aloud — each one recited to you as a potential match.

Phase 3 — Leaf Verification This is the most extraordinary phase of the Nadi reading — the moment that consistently transforms skeptics into believers. As Guruji recites the details inscribed on each leaf — the first letter of your name, the first letter of your father’s name, your birth star, the number of your siblings, your general physical description, and other specific personal facts — you respond with a simple yes or no. This continues leaf by leaf until every detail recited matches your confirmed yes — at which point your leaf has been found.
